A SMART, RESPONSIBLE CHOICE
EXPERT Clean & Bright is designed for wood fences, decks, log homes, wood structures, and patio furniture. It effectively removes stains caused by dirt, UV damage, graying, and organic growth. Enhance the real beauty of wood – naturally by implementing the EXPERT 3-STEP-System.
The First Step in a Complete Wood Care System
Every successful staining project begins with proper preparation. EXPERT Clean & Bright is designed as a two-step system: first, selecting the correct cleaning or stripping solution based on your wood condition, and second, neutralizing and restoring the surface with a wood brightener. Choosing the right starting point ensures proper stain penetration, consistent color, and long-term performance.
Step 1: Choose the Right Solution
WOOD STRIPPER
Stripper & Heavy-Duty Wood Cleaner
EXPERT Clean & Bright Wood Stripper removes oil-based paints, finished organic growth stains, and debris. Recommend for professional use.
- Remove worn oil-based finishes, lumber ink stamps, dirt, debris, and grime.
- Eliminate and erase stubborn heavy organic growth stains, such as algae, mold, and mildew.
- Reverse severely weathered graying caused by damaging UV rays.
Use when removing existing stain, coatings, or heavy buildup. Designed to break down previous finishes and prepare wood for reapplication.
STRIPPER BOOSTER
Wood Stripper Additive
EXPERT Clean & Bright Stripper Booster is an additive for Wood Stripper to aid in removing tough water-based finishes. It increase the strength of Wood Stripper for a ‘boost’. Stripper Booster is designed to be used in conjunction with Wood Stripper and is recommended for professional use.
For heavily coated or difficult-to-remove finishes, Stripper Booster can be added to Wood Stripper to increase strength and effectiveness. Ideal for projects with multiple layers of stain, paint, or stubborn buildup.
WOOD CLEANER
Cleaner & Mild Stripper
EXPERT Clean & Bright Wood Cleaner is an effective cleaner, stain remover, and mold stripper. It’s designed for use on untreated and treated exterior wood.
- Remove worn oil-based finishes, most lumber stamps, dirt, debris, and grime.
- Eliminate stains from organic growth, such as algae.
- Erase stains caused by tannins, mold, and mildew.
- Reverse weather graying caused by damaging UV rays.
Use for general cleaning of dirt, mildew, and surface contaminants on weathered or previously treated wood.
ECO CLEANER
Cleaner & Stain Remover
EXPERT Clean & Bright Eco Cleaner is an oxygenated bleach and multiple-purpose cleaner designed for use on untreated and treated wood. It is safe for use on all wood finishes, vinyl, and composites.
- Remove superficial dirt, debris, grime, and light organic growth stains such as mold, mildew, and algae.
- Reverse weathered graying caused by damaging UV rays.
A gentler cleaning option for light-duty cleaning and maintenance, ideal for surfaces that do not require aggressive stripping.
Step 2: Neutralize and Brighten
After cleaning or stripping, EXPERT Wood Brightener is required to neutralize the surface and restore natural wood tone. This step helps improve stain absorption, enhance final color, and ensure consistent, long-lasting results. Skipping the brightening step can lead to uneven appearance and reduced stain performance.
NEUTRALIZER & WOOD BRIGHTENER
Use to deactivate all EXPERT Clean & Bright products. Always use it as STEP 2 in the EXPERT-3-STEP-System maintenance and rejuvenating process. It returns wood back to the natural pH and color. Neutralizer and Brightener is required as the final step in surface prep before applying STEP 3 EXPERT Stain & Seal.
Step 3: Stain, Seal & Protect
Once the wood has been properly cleaned and brightened, it is ready for stain application. EXPERT Stain & Seal is designed to penetrate, protect, and enhance wood surfaces—delivering long-lasting performance and consistent, professional-grade results. Proper preparation ensures better stain absorption, improved color consistency, and extended durability.
